Simon Kingman is no stranger to the stage. A guitarist and composer with decades of experience, he has been a driving force in acclaimed bands such as Zervas and Pepper, Melopark and The Pepper Seeds, where his expressive playing and dynamic songwriting helped shape their sound. Known for his ability to move seamlessly between jazz, blues, and soul, Simon brings a depth of musical knowledge and performance craft that anchors The Kingman Project.

Carrying forward the family’s creative spark, Ruben Kingman has already made a name for himself as a guitarist, writer and producer in projects like Nookee and Black Elvis. With his modern influences and experimental edge, Ruben adds a bold, youthful energy to the group, ensuring The Kingman Project’s sound is as forward-looking as it is steeped in tradition.

The band’s rhythm section has been powered by the undeniable ‘pocket’ groove of Gary James on drums, often combined with the deep, melodic lines of Jon Goode on bass - together laying down a foundation that is both solid and irresistibly funky. Completing the lineup is the incomparable “Professor” Mark Sambell on keys, whose versatile touch brings warmth, texture, and harmonic richness to the ensemble. In other times they have been joined by CVC’s hotshot drummer Tom Fry, as well as the Cardiff legend that is Jason Charles Rodgers on Bass.
